The strap buttons were replaced with Schaller securitylock buttons.
The bridge was replaced with a Gotoh nickel TOM that has gained somenice patina over the years.
It appears a headstock break happened long ago but this wasvery neatly repaired, where even a veneer was placed to hide any gluelines. This guitar sounds and plays absolutely great for British Invasion pop, alt.country or blues/jazz and is a real looker as well. The wood shows some very nice figuring both at the top and at the back. This 1965 Casino has these two typical Epiphone features: it hasboth the ‘Royal Tan’ light sunburst finish and it was factory fitted with theTremar vibrato system. The main differences between the models were the availablecolours and the typical Epiphone ‘Tremar’ vibrato tailpiece, that was availableas an upmarket option. Apart fromthe headstock shape the dimensions, feel and used materials of the Casino arevery similar.
The Epiphone Casino was produced during the ‘60s by Gibson/CMIin Kalamazoo and is the Epiphone equivalent of the Gibson ES-330.
